It's your party and you should dance if you want too. Having a Dj is like having a scripted show, so make sure they know the tunes that makes you shuffle and slide. Not every event needs a Dj but if you plan on tearing up the dance floor don't leave home without one. The DJ sets the tone and musical theme for your event, it is their profession to comb through thousands of songs and pick the ones that would make you smile. My best recommendation is have the DJ create a play list before your event and have you sign off on it.
Your big day is here! You have planned for this for a couple of months. I can see the excitement on your face. As you pack up the last minute material to go to the venue you take a breath of fresh air and it smells like you have never smelled it before. As the taxi pulls up the whole team pulls their weight and packs the vehicle in 5 minutes. Everything is going to plan and the place is looking like a million dollars was spent.
You also took the time to get the best invitations that money can buy so you only invited 30 people because that was the exact amount of people you wanted, no more, no less. An hour and a half goes by and about 10 people show up. Towards the end 9 more people show.
You are totally devastated but still manage to enjoy yourself. The lesson you gained from this experience is invite them all, because only 65%-75% will show.
The floors are an important part of your overall design. The trick to doing great floors its keeping it big and simple. This new trend is very popular. One major problem to avoid then doing floors is small confetti made of paper, that can cause a disaster and cost you extra time in cleaning up the venue. So i hope for your next event you will consider to floor it up.
Kid parties can spiral out of control very fast and when that happens its too late. The best solution its to plan ahead fun games and activities. Like they say the best things in life are free, games for kids cost literally pennies. You can save a lot and be the talk of the town with a little pregame planning. Have all the material and order of play ready a week before. Let your child know a few of the games so they can brag a little about the fun to come.
I have seen parties without games and activities and they ended up in total disasters and tears. But i know you are smarter than that and started planning already. Cheers and good luck, make them happy.
You are so thrilled that you are having a child. Baby Shower time!!!!! I'm so so happy for you, having a child is beyond life changing. So please remember your shower can play out only two ways, leaving you in dept or pockets over flowing with gifts and support.
Make that list and make it fast, remember showers are a timed events so you don't have time to waste.
Invite only those that can really help you. I know its sounds like you are being desperate of snobby. But in reality a baby shower is a celebratory ceremony of supporters, so its a good idea to surround your future child with those who will stand by you when you really need it.
KISS - keep it simple, along with being pregnant you do not want to stress yourself right before you give birth. The number one way to keep it simple is give everyone in step two only one thing to do. I know you are reading this and saying "this guy is out of his mind I want family to come and just enjoy." In really if that's all you want them to do that's how its going to be after you have the child, its your choice but choose wisely because afterwards its too late.
I have seen countless showers with everyone at the helm and seeing the mother to be glow and i have seen the opposite and sometimes i have to go home to fight back the tears.
Show everyone love that comes out to appreciate whats the most important thing to come into your life.
